Pallister Park Primary School

School Teams

Your child doesn’t have one teacher. They have a team.

Our staff work in large, collaborative year-group teams rather than individual classrooms. This means your child will be known, taught, and supported by multiple skilled adults throughout their time with us.

When a child is known by a whole team, they are never invisible. When learning is shared across many adults, your child benefits from a wider range of strengths, styles, and expertise. And when life happens, as it does, there is always someone who knows your child well, ready to step in without disruption.

How our school teams work

Each year group is organised into three groups: Riverside, Transporter, and Newport. These are not fixed ability sets or permanent classes. Children move between groups throughout the year depending on what they are learning and what they need. A child might work in a large group for one lesson and a smaller, more focused group for the next. This flexibility is part of how we ensure every child gets the right support at the right time and it means no child is ever dependent on one adult being in the room.

Our Vulnerable Pupil Support Team

For anything more than a quick word, our Vulnerable Pupil Support Team are often the best place to start. They are experienced, approachable, and available to talk things through — whether your concern is big or small, whether it is about learning, wellbeing, or something happening at home. They can chat with you by phone, or arrange a meeting at a time that works for you. You do not need to have a serious problem to speak to them. If something is on your mind, they want to hear it.

The best way to get in touch

Pallister Park is a busy school. Every adult in the building is here to work with children, and during the school day that is exactly where they are — in classrooms, corridors, and small groups. Catching someone at the door is not always possible. The best way to make sure you get the time and attention you deserve is to phone the school office on 01642 242174. Our team will make sure your message reaches the right person, and we will always get back to you.
