The Team Around Every Child

Your child doesn’t have one teacher. They have a team.

Our staff work in large, collaborative year-group teams rather than individual classrooms. This means your child will be known, taught, and supported by multiple skilled adults throughout their time with us.

When a child is known by a whole team, they are never invisible. When learning is shared across many adults, your child benefits from a wider range of strengths, styles, and expertise. And when life happens, as it does, there is always someone who knows your child well, ready to step in without disruption.

How our teams are organised

Three Groups Per Year

Each year group uses the same three group names; Riverside, Transporter, and Newport. These are shared across the whole school. Groupings are flexible: children move between rooms and groups throughout the year based on their learning needs, rather than being placed in a fixed set or class.

Flexible by Design

A child might work in a large group for one lesson and a smaller, more focused group for the next. This flexibility ensures every child gets the right support at the right time — and no child is ever dependent on one adult being in the room.

Who to Talk To

Because the whole year-group team works with your child, any member of that team is a good first point of contact. You do not need to find the right teacher — there isn’t one. There is a team, and any of them will know your child.
